Get in the Holiday Spirit at the Olney Theatre Center

December 14, 2018

‘Tis the season to spend time with family and friends, including those you don’t have the chance to see on a daily basis. Gather your loved ones together for a special night out to see one of the holiday plays at Olney Theatre Center. Now through the beginning of January, the theater hosts showings of two holiday classics from different eras: A Christmas Carol and Elf.

Dickens’ iconic holiday tale transports guests back to Victorian England, where the perpetually grouchy and greedy Ebenezer Scrooge confronts the consequences of his selfishness. Three ghosts representing different moments in Scrooge’s life unearth the true meaning of the holiday season and transform his future in the process. Elf, on the other hand, follows the story of a human in modern-day New York City named Buddy. Upon learning he’s not actually an elf, Buddy journeys here from the North Pole to find his birth father—and lots of holiday hijinks ensue. Grab tickets to either show starting at $40.
