Saddle Up at Prado Equestrian Center
July 27, 2018
Carol Serpa is equal parts entrepreneur and philanthropist, which makes her the perfect person to head up Prado Equestrian Center. Under her guidance, the '70s-era Prado Park Stables went from a one-arena, seven-horse show to an equestrian center capable of boarding more than 100 horses with five arenas. She's raised more than $40,000 for local charities and even written a book about her experience as a girl-boss.
If you want to meet her and the horses, come to the Prado Equestrian Center for a guided trail ride. They depart from the stables every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. or by appointment only Wednesday through Friday. Call ahead to reserve your horse and trail guide, then head to Prado Equestrian Center to learn the basics of horseback riding and quickly hit the open trails.
