California Meets Italy at Creekwood, Now Open Near Oak Walk

January 4, 2019

Creekwood exudes history in every aspect of its setting, both large and small. The building itself dates back to 1977, when it served as a community bike shop. The walls feature repurposed wood from a nearby warehouse. The holophane lamps swinging from a black iron pipe can be traced back to an ammunition factory from Prohibition-era Wisconsin. It’s thoughtful touches like these that have drawn crowds to Creekwood since it first opened in November.

Bring along friends or a significant other to enjoy the unique atmosphere and savor the modern Californian-Italian cuisine. The chef updates the menu constantly to incorporate new seasonal ingredients, but you can always expect to see a solid selection of pizza, pasta, and Italian entrees. Currently, the menu boasts options such as the Winter Roots pizza topped with goat cheese, parmesan, creme fraiche, and calabrian chili. You’ll also find dishes like sweet potato gnocchi with black sesame and spaghetti wtih brussels sprouts, cauliflower, winter squash, and chesnut salmoriglio.
