Oct. 26 Near Oak Walk: Boo Bash on Bay Street!
October 18, 2019
If you consider yourself something of a jack-o-lantern artist, don’t keep those skills to yourself. Show them off at the Boo Bash on Bay Street. The local festival is returning to town on October 26th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and, as always, the cornerstone of the fest is its jack-o-lantern-carving contest.
Feel free to BYO carving kit and stencils or simply borrow the basics, which will be available at the Boo Bash. While painting and other forms of decorating are not permitted, you’re invited to get as creative as you want with carving—you can even use your own customized stencils. The more inventive you are, the better chance you have of leaving with a prize. Carving starts promptly at 11 a.m. in the plaza, but you have to return your pumpkin-carving application to the Bay Street Management Office by October 24th in order to participate. You can also just come to the Boo Bash to watch other artists carve, enjoy the costume parade, or snap a few pictures in the spooky photo booth.
